Who needs this service?

Anyone who needs a powerful true-shape 2d nesting engine to save material. Starting from small workshops with Excel-based cutting plans, to large companies cutting hundreds of very complex nestings per day. Powernest WS is also embeded in many CAM, CAD, ERP, quotation, ... software to bring powerful automatic nestings features.

How can I test the service?

You may contact us to get evaluation access to the service. If you only need to see how the service performs given some DXFs, check out the demo web application.

How does the nesting performances compare to competitors?

We claim that we have the most efficient nesting algorithms in the world, as far as we know. But the best thing you can do is to assess the performances by yourself using the demo web app or by contacting us to get evaluation access to the service.

Please, keep in mind that the more optimization time is given, the better result you will get.

What about data privacy?

We guarantee to never ever divulgate the data sent to Powernest WS to any third party. The data is securely kept within the service and destroyed after some time (days or weeks). However, it is used to improve the service itself, allowing continuous performance improvements. If you have specific privacy constraints, do not hesitate to contact us.

I have DXF files or another kind of CAD files, how can I use them with the service?

We provide a separate service for processing DXF files: 2D Geometry WS. It cleans them and prepares them to be used with PowernestWS.

If you need an end-user web application, please check-out Nest&Cut which is backed by both Powernest WS and 2D Geometry WS, therefore supporting DXF import natively.

Why is there no version in the API?

Powernest WS guarantees not to break the API along with its related features. We only add new features through new API. Indeed, the service is used by many industrial softwares for which the stability of the service and its API is essential.

Are all the nesting features shown in the documented API?

Not at all. The most common features are visible in the public documentation, however many specific features are made available on request. Including multi-heads cutting, common-line cutting, protections areas, unloading constraints, ... Do not hesitate to contact us if you have specific needs.
